Fannie got her obedience class “diploma”, despite her mulishly stubborn attitude. Dena made a point of explaining that this dog is really smart, but stubborn, and used several opportunities to show  how to handle a mutt that thinks independently of its owner. Turns out the Gentle Leader collar can be used to make a dog sit and lie down as well as discourage it from pulling your arm off when walking.

We’ll continue to reinforce her lessons at home. She’s behaving better, but still has a long ways to go.
