Luxury Suites
Each guest stays in their own private, luxurious suite with privacy panels, and year-round climate control. We have multiple suite options including family-sized suites for multi-dog families. We even have Teddy Bear Canyon, a dedicated lodging and play area just for our small dog guests.
Upscale Amenities
Every dog rests comfortably off the floor in a raised bed, which supports orthopedic health. Soft, cozy bedding is also provided, as long as your pup isn’t prone to chewing. Bedding is regularly cleaned in our on-site laundry facilities.

Our resorts are served by cutting-edge air handling systems that continuously filter, purify, and circulate fresh air. 24-hour security and fire monitoring keep our guests protected day and night, and we always maintain a 24-hour, on-site presence.

Our pet resorts are fully climate controlled for your dog’s year-round comfort. We play relaxing music in all lodging areas, and our Cedar Villa suites show dog-specific programming on the TVs for an inviting, warm environment. Skylights and large windows bring in plenty of natural sunlight.

All the Essentials
Dogs are fed according to their usual diet, though we do have high quality food available for a small fee if needed. Fresh water is always available and replaced three times daily (or refilled by an automatic watering system in certain suites). Every guest receives at least three potty breaks per day.

Social Play
For many dogs, there’s nothing more fulfilling than playtime with their fellow canines. We give them a safe, professionally supervised place to make new friends, exercise their social skills, and satisfy their “pack” instincts. All of our caregivers are highly trained, and we choose the ideal playmates for each pup based on their size, age, and play style.
Individual Play
Some dogs prefer one-on-one play and attention from a human pal, and we’re happy to be their besties for the day. Our caregivers are specially trained to provide individualized enrichment, activity, and exercise tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Our grounds and buildings are security monitored 24/7, and we maintain a day and night on-site presence. Your peace of mind is important to us!
Our resorts are outfitted with state-of-the-art air handling systems. Air is drawn in from the outdoors before being purified then circulated to ensure a fresh, healthy environment.
All of our staff members receive formal training and certification in group play, canine behavior and body language, and pet safety.
Our outdoor play areas are extremely secure with extra-tall fences, anti-jumping barriers, and custom-built air lock gates.
We maintain a meticulously sanitized and tidy environment with daily deep cleans using veterinary-grade cleansers. Our 3-part epoxy floors are extremely sanitary and cleanable versus the porous concrete common in other pet care facilities.
Between guests, every suite is thoroughly disinfected top-to-bottom including the raised bed, food and water bowls, and outdoor patio (if it has one). Upon a new guest’s arrival, freshly laundered bedding is provided.
Dog Boarding FAQ
What vaccinations are required for dog boarding?
For the safety and health of all the pets in our care, we require our dog boarding guests have up-to-date vaccinations for rabies, the distemper combo, and Bordetella.
Do you require reservations for dog boarding?
The safety of our guests is most important to us. In order to ensure we always have the right level of staffing for the expected number of dogs each day, we do require reservations for dog boarding.
My dog isn’t spayed/neutered. Can they still stay at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge?
Absolutely, all intact pets are welcome at Stone Mountain. However, for safety reasons, intact males over 6 months old and intact females in, approaching, or recently out of heat will receive one-on-one enrichment and exercise instead of group play.
Can I tour the pet resort?
Please do—we’d love to show you all our pet resorts have to offer. We invite pet parents to tour us any time during our operating hours.
Do you offer a trial stay?

I have multiple dogs. Can they stay together?
Our Rock Creek Villa suites are perfect for doggie siblings! These are double suites with a built-in separation panel put up only during feedings. Give us a call to see how we can make your fur family’s stay perfect.
Should I bring my pet’s food?
We do recommend bringing your pet’s normal food to keep them on the diet they’re accustomed to. We ask you please bag and label each serving individually. If needed, we do have a high quality house food available to our dog boarding guests for a small fee.
What about bedding?
Every dog boarding guest receives a premium raised bed complete with soft bedding (unless they tend to chew), so we recommend leaving your pup’s bed at home.
Can you accommodate pets with special needs?
Stone Mountain is equipped to accommodate pets with many kinds of special needs. We offer a TLC Package designed for our special needs guests which includes stretch breaks, extra potty breaks, unlimited administration of oral medication, and other amenities. Please call us to discuss how we can accommodate your pet.
My dog doesn’t like other dogs. Can they still stay?
Yes, pups of all social comfort levels are welcome to stay with us. We have individual play programs to ensure less dog-social pups enjoy all the exercise and interaction they need, one-on-one with a caregiver.
We’re also able to accommodate dogs who display aggression. These pups stay in a separate part of our resort where they’re tended to by compassionate caregivers who are highly trained in hands-off care.
Can you administer my pet’s medications?
Certainly! Pups who take several or frequent medications may benefit from our TLC Package, which includes unlimited administration of oral and topical medications throughout the stay. Otherwise, we can give your pet’s medications, including injections, for a small fee.
Can I add grooming/bathing to my dog boarding reservation?
Absolutely, we have full-service dog grooming salons at both our Blaine and Brooklyn Park resorts. Just let us know what services you need when you call to make your dog boarding reservation, and we’ll get your pet scheduled.
Do you offer pet transportation?
Yes! We offer a safe and convenient pet taxi service to and from our resorts across the whole metro area. Please call us for more information.
