Blankets and liners are washed right here in our on-site laundry. That means your dog arrives to freshly cleaned linens every time

Advanced Wellness Features
Behind the scenes, purification equipment runs constantly to keep the air inside our resort clean and filtered. Fire and security monitoring never switches off, and team members stay on-site through the night. Together, those safeguards wrap two more layers of protection around your dog’s wellbeing.

Homelike Atmosphere
Sunlight pours in through skylights and oversized windows, and soft music plays throughout the building to help dogs unwind. Climate control holds every suite at a comfortable temperature regardless of the season outside. Guests staying in our Cedar Villa suites can even settle in with dog-friendly TV.

Constant Care
From the first day, our caregivers make a point of learning what your dog likes, dislikes, and needs. That knowledge shapes the rest of the visit. Daily enrichment, plenty of affection, and regular wellness checks are part of every stay. That way, your dog stays healthy, content, and at ease.

All the Essentials
Mealtimes follow the same schedule your dog keeps at home. Premium food can be added for a small fee. Fresh water is swapped out three times a day, or flows automatically in select suites. Every guest also gets a minimum of three potty breaks daily.

Place for Every Dog
Big or small, bold or bashful, every dog is welcome here. Our staff is trained to handle all breeds, temperaments, and individual needs. That includes pups who do best with a slower, gentler, more patient touch.

Pet Taxi Services
Can't fit drop-off or pickup into a busy Plymouth workday? Our pet taxi can handle the trip for you. A certified driver safely shuttles your dog between home and our resort, with rides starting at just $25.
What Sets Our Dog Boarding near Plymouth, MN Apart
Stone Mountain Pet Lodge got its start in 2005. A group of devoted animal lovers decided the Northern Twin Cities Metro deserved something better than the typical kennel. Their plan was simple: care for every boarding guest like a member of your own family. That applies whether the visit lasts a single night or a full two weeks. More than 20 years later, we still run things by that same principle. It’s the reason households from Plymouth, Maple Grove, Osseo, Champlin, and nearby communities keep coming back. When they need somewhere dependable for their dog, they trust us.
A few reasons Plymouth dog owners keep choosing us:

Our certified pet taxi handles pickup and drop-off for only $25. That way, getting your dog here never becomes another item on your pre-trip checklist.

There’s no corporate chain behind us. We’ve been family-owned and locally operated in the Twin Cities pet care scene for over two decades. The dogs we look after belong to our own neighbors.

Veterinarians around the area routinely recommend us to their clients. They point to our spotless facilities and our steady focus on animal wellbeing.

Local readers voted us Best Pet Boarding, Best Pet Grooming, and Best Pet Store in 2025. Those Reader’s Choice awards came straight from the community we serve.

Our founder designs every play structure on our grounds through our sister company, Stone Mountain Pet Products. That means safety and durability are part of the blueprint from day one.

Out in Blaine, our resort spreads across 10 peaceful acres edged by natural wetlands. It’s easy to reach from the Radisson Road/Exit 32 ramp off I-35W.

Closer to Plymouth, our Champlin Park resort offers a leafy, park-like setting near the center of town. It’s tucked just off Highway 610 by Zane Avenue.

Daily Enrichment Built Around Your Dog
Comfortable beds are only half the story. The best boarding stays leave dogs tired, happy, and a little sad to head home. That’s why we plan each Plymouth pup’s day around their personality and energy. We never run everyone through the same itinerary. Pick from several customizable activity packages. Each one gives your dog a visit that challenges their mind as much as it pampers them.
Our activity packages can include:

Social Play
Outgoing dogs can join a supervised playgroup where they build friendships and confidence in a safe setting. Before anyone joins, our staff matches dogs by size, age, and temperament. That keeps every group well balanced and genuinely enjoyable.

Individual Play
Some dogs would rather skip the crowd, and we’re happy to oblige. Their one-on-one sessions center on their favorite things. That might be a round of fetch or a leisurely stroll on our walking trails. Every session moves at whatever pace suits them best.

Photo Updates &
Report Cards
It’s natural to wonder how your dog is doing while you’re away. With select activity packages, you’ll receive a personalized report card filled with photos and notes. That way, you can check in on the fun from wherever you are.

Tasty Treats
A vacation isn’t complete without a little indulgence. We stock a rotating lineup of wholesome goodies, from doggy smoothies to gourmet biscuits made with pet-safe ingredients. It’s one more reason for Plymouth pups to look forward to their stay.
How We Keep Plymouth Boarders Safe & Clean
Nothing matters more to us than your dog’s safety and comfort. For Plymouth families boarding with us, that commitment shows up in strict daily routines. It also means a resort that stays clean and secure from top to bottom:

Eyes on every guest, 24/7: Staff members are on-site at all hours. We monitor our indoor and outdoor areas continuously, so no dog is ever left unwatched.

Air that's always filtered: Sophisticated air-handling systems keep clean air moving through every suite, all year long.

Behavior-trained caregiving team: Each caregiver completes thorough training before working with guests. That training covers canine behavior, managing group play, and safety procedures.

Securely fenced outdoor yards: Tall fences, anti-jump barriers, and double-gated entrances keep every dog safely inside our play areas.

Vet-grade daily cleaning: Veterinary-grade disinfectants are part of our cleaning routine every single day. Our nonporous epoxy floors also allow deeper sanitation than ordinary flooring can.

Top-to-bottom suite resets: Between guests, we fully sanitize each suite (beds, bowls, and patios included). The next arrival always gets freshly washed bedding.

Why Plymouth Pet Parents Choose Stone Mountain
Plymouth is one of the larger suburbs on the west side of the metro. It’s full of places to spend time outdoors with a dog. The city maintains two year-round off-leash areas. The first is Plymouth Dog Park on Chankahda Trail. It offers trails, a picnic shelter, and a separate fenced section for small dogs. The second is 4 Paws Dog Park at Plymouth Playfield. Weekend staples include leashed walks along Medicine Lake at French Regional Park or the Luce Line State Trail. On winter days when it’s too cold for long outings, there’s Brew Park. Members’ dogs burn off energy on its indoor turf while their owners grab a bite.
Dog owners who spend that much time outside with their pets have high standards. They expect the same level of attention when they travel. That’s why so many local families rely on Stone Mountain Pet Lodge for dog boarding near Plymouth, MN. Our Champlin Park resort is about 20 minutes away via I-494 and US-169. Once there, your dog gets a private suite, staff who learn their quirks, and activities chosen for their personality. It’s the kind of personal care an active, dog-loving household appreciates.
Getting to Our Resorts from Plymouth
To our Champlin Park resort (9975 Xenia Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55443): From Plymouth, take Campus Drive to Highway 55 West and merge onto I-494 North, which takes about four minutes. Leave 610 at Exit 6 for Zane Ave N in Brooklyn Park, and follow Zane Avenue a little under a mile to the resort. Plan on roughly 20 minutes from start to finish.
To our Blaine resort (9935 Radisson Rd NE, Blaine, MN 55449): The trip to Blaine starts the same way: Campus Drive to Highway 55 West, then onto I-494 North. Dog Boarding FAQ
What vaccinations are required for dog boarding?
For the safety and health of all the pets in our care, we require our dog boarding guests have up-to-date vaccinations for rabies, the distemper combo, and Bordetella.
Do you require reservations for dog boarding?
The safety of our guests is most important to us. In order to ensure we always have the right level of staffing for the expected number of dogs each day, we do require reservations for dog boarding.
My dog isn’t spayed/neutered. Can they still stay at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge?
Absolutely, all intact pets are welcome at Stone Mountain. However, for safety reasons, intact males over 6 months old and intact females in, approaching, or recently out of heat will receive one-on-one enrichment and exercise instead of group play.
Can I tour the pet resort?
Please do—we’d love to show you all our pet resorts have to offer. We invite pet parents to tour us any time during our operating hours.
Do you offer a trial stay?
Yes! Ask us about our first night free offer.
I have multiple dogs. Can they stay together?
Our Rock Creek Villa suites are perfect for doggie siblings! These are double suites with a built-in separation panel put up only during feedings. Give us a call to see how we can make your fur family’s stay perfect.
Should I bring my pet’s food?
We do recommend bringing your pet’s normal food to keep them on the diet they’re accustomed to. We ask you please bag and label each serving individually. If needed, we do have a high quality house food available to our dog boarding guests for a small fee.
What about bedding?
Every dog boarding guest receives a premium raised bed complete with soft bedding (unless they tend to chew), so we recommend leaving your pup’s bed at home.
Can you accommodate pets with special needs?
Stone Mountain is equipped to accommodate pets with many kinds of special needs. We offer a TLC Package designed for our special needs guests which includes stretch breaks, extra potty breaks, unlimited administration of oral medication, and other amenities. Please call us to discuss how we can accommodate your pet.
My dog doesn’t like other dogs. Can they still stay?
Yes, pups of all social comfort levels are welcome to stay with us. We have individual play programs to ensure less dog-social pups enjoy all the exercise and interaction they need, one-on-one with a caregiver.
We’re also able to accommodate dogs who display aggression. These pups stay in a separate part of our resort where they’re tended to by compassionate caregivers who are highly trained in hands-off care.
Can you administer my pet’s medications?
Certainly! Pups who take several or frequent medications may benefit from our TLC Package, which includes unlimited administration of oral and topical medications throughout the stay. Otherwise, we can give your pet’s medications, including injections, for a small fee.
Can I add grooming/bathing to my dog boarding reservation?
Absolutely, we have full-service dog grooming salons at both our Blaine and Brooklyn Park resorts. Just let us know what services you need when you call to make your dog boarding reservation, and we’ll get your pet scheduled.
Do you offer pet transportation?
Yes! We offer a safe and convenient pet taxi service to and from our resorts across the whole metro area. Please call us for more information.
