Stone Mountain Pet Lodge Night Lodging (Overnight Stays)

If you’re going out of town on vacation for a few days, but can't bring your dog along, finding a neighbor or friend willing to watch your pets can be tough. And even if they agreed to the task of watching them for you, you still might not feel good about leaving your pets cooped up with little human interaction for a week -- not to mention the accidents your pets are bound to have on the new carpet or hardwood floors you've just installed.

While staying with us as part of our local dog boarding program, each guest stays in their own private, luxurious suite. We have multiple suite options, including family-sized suites for multi-dog families. We even have Teddy Bear Canyon, a dedicated lodging and playing area just for our small dog guests. All suites are designed with your pet’s comfort in mind and include a raised bed with blanket as well as featuring natural light, air conditioning, and heated, epoxy-coated floors for warmth during cold months and easy cleaning/disinfecting.

As part of our boarding services, dogs are fed twice a day, and our automatic watering system ensures they always have a continuous source of fresh water.

To make your dog’s boarding experience more comfortable, we encourage you to bring a few personal items to help their stay feel like home. Please note that pets may behave differently in a new environment and could chew, spill on, or damage their belongings. Stone Mountain Pet Lodge is not responsible for damaged items. Please limit personal items to:

  • One blanket or bedding item (no stuffed or upholstered beds, please)
  • A total of 2 bones and/or toys (1 toy and 1 bone, 2 bones or 2 toys)
  • Your pet's food pre-bagged for each meal during their stay.

For the best experience, we recommend sending washable items that are permanently labeled. Please avoid bringing irreplaceable items.

dog with prebagged food

Benefits or Pre-Bagging Food for Dog Boarding:

  • Your pet is guaranteed to be fed the exact amount of food and treats they’re used to at home.
  • It eliminates the guesswork of packing enough food for their stay.
  • Adding treats to meals? Pre-bagging ensures they receive the right amount.

Helpful Tips for Pre-Bagging:

  • Use Zip-loc bags to prevent spills and keep food fresh.
  • Pack an extra meal or two in case of an unexpected extended stay.
  • Label the bags only if morning and evening meals differ.

Medical/Special Needs:

If your dog has special needs, such as a special diet or medications, qualified lodging staff will make sure those needs are met.

  • Please keep medications separate from meals.
  • There will be a Medications/Supplements fee.

By choosing our dog boarding services, you’re providing your pet with a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience.

Unlike some kennels, every dog has their own personal outdoor run. We don't let dogs go indoors because we believe that encourages bad behavior.

No, because this would make it impossible to keep the kennel heated or cooled effectively. However, your dog will get frequent trips to their own outdoor run throughout the day. Scheduled outdoor breaks start at 7 am and end between 9 & 10 pm.

A stay at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge includes a potty break three times a day, plus plenty of attention and love!
We do offer additional exercise and playtime options including a nature walk on our outdoor wooded walking path, 15 minutes of playtime in one of our outdoor play yards, or socialized play time in our Doggy Daycare program

Your preferred veterinarian will be contacted immediately. We will do as they advise. Any charges incurred in the treatment are your responsibility, while prompt, proper and attentive care of your pet is, of course, our responsibility. In an emergency, if your veterinarian's clinic is closed, we will use our best judgment in responding to the needs of your pet unless otherwise instructed by you or your pet's physician.

We strive to maintain up-to-date contact information including your home, cell and one other emergency number. We will try to contact you if a problem arises. In the event of a medical emergency, your preferred veterinary will be used. If your preferred veterinary clinic is unavailable or too far away (to be decided on a case-by-case basis), we will bring your pet to Blaine Area Pet Hospital (during the day) or Midwest Veterinary Specialty Group (during the night / weekends). Both veterinary clinics listed are located less than 10 minutes from Stone Mountain Pet Lodge.

All dogs and cats visiting Stone Mountain Pet Lodge require these immunizations. Vaccines must be given by a licensed veterinarian. First-time boarders should bring veterinarian documentation showing the due dates of the next immunization, which will be recorded for future reference.

Important Notice

Although we do not have a required minimum incubation period between the time vaccines are given and the beginning of your reservation, we strongly recommend getting any vaccines done at least 10–14 days prior to arrival at our facility. This gives the vaccine time to reach its full effectiveness to protect against illness.

Felidae Pure Sea LogoWe feed Felidae Pure Sea as an in-house food, but we always suggest bringing in your cat’s usual food, as they can be pretty finicky! We feed the cats twice daily (or your custom schedule), and fresh water is available at all times.

Each cat has a chart on which handlers will document any information regarding these special needs, including amount of food given, time medications were administered, and other pertinent information.

Cat Condo

Our Condos include a raised loft area (because we all know how much cats like to look down on everything!) and custom–made fleece snuggler bed for them to curl up on. Since they cannot see any cats next to them, there is privacy galore. Your cat gets to come out of their Condo to get attention and explore the rest of the room twice daily while we're cleaning for them.

Soothing classical music is played around the clock for our guests. The Condos are two horizontally adjacent spaces joined together to make your cat's stay extra comfortable.

Also included is a dedicated ventilation system that supplies each condo with 24-7 fresh air to eliminate odor of sanitary areas as well as keep the odors of other felines out.
