Fun Ways for Kids to Learn Canine Care & Training (Ages 9-13)

This class is like no other! This fun, kid-oriented day camp teaches children important lessons for daily interactions with their dogs and helping them take care of the family dog. It’s a blast, kids learn a lot and they get to bring their dog!

In 5-day camp, your child will learn how to properly communicate, train, bath & exercise their best friend. They will even learn new ways to have fun! Each day is something new ranging from learning tricks & basic commands to activities such as running the ‘FUNgility’ obstacle course.

Parents and Grandparents are welcome to attend the class with their child. No prerequisites. Runs Monday - Friday.

1. Doggie Manners:
Doggy manners and effective communications with your dog - includes a bit of FUNgility and Tricks

2. Your Dog's Health
Your dog's physical health and well-being, including nutrition info

3. Scrub-A-Dub
Dog bath demo with the option to schedule a one-on-one bath training session with a professional bather at regular breed bath price

4. Play With Your Dog - New Activities
Intro to FUNgility, try exercises, Nosework demo, more Tricks and having fun with your dog beyond playing fetch

5. Adventure Time with Your Dog
On and off leash adventures with your dog, including - Loose Leash Walking, Recalls, shopping retail and what to do if your dog runs away or gets lost.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites. Unsure? Talk to our instructors if you are uncertain if your dog is a good fit.

Schedule Notes: Bring proof of up to date age appropriate vaccinations for Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper (DHPP). Bring a 4-6 leash (non-retractable) and small training treats. In the interest of safety we will be complying with CDC guidelines in the following ways: One handler per dog. You can switch handlers from week to week but we are only allowing one human per dog into the class. We are asking that students bring their own mat to class - this could be a yoga mat cut in half, a towel, a bath mat etc. We are asking students to wear masks to class, if they do not have one we will make one available for them
